Phase II of this project seeks to expand and improve upon the foundational build implemented in Phase I by targeting four high-level goals: a data enhancement via SIS integration, expanding Admissions Event Management, redesigning management of Suspect stage in recruiting, and introducing source tracking for initial and secondary constituent engagements.
The Core CRM package was a foundational IU CRM Initiative project to provide a low-barrier point of entry for any IU division, school, office, or unit seeking to adopt CRM with generic functionality.
In late 2017, Salesforce began rolling out a new feature for Marketing Cloud called Content Builder. The IU CRM Initiative undertook this foundational project to implement Content Builder across IU’s Marketing Cloud environment.
The IU CRM Initiative builds on substantial momentum in the use of Salesforce in recruiting, communications, and university HR, and seeks to further expand the use and utility of Salesforce across IU.
More than 200 communications shops across IU adopted the Salesforce Marketing Cloud to manage communications and campaigns across their various constituencies.
IUPUI and the regional IU campuses transitioned all legacy recruitment functionality to Salesforce. Additionally, the Office of Online Education adopted Salesforce for recruitment. In just nine months, many campuses had adopted much more functionality in Salesforce than they ever had with previous systems.
As part of the HR2020 strategic plan to be nimble and adapt to the changing needs of the institution, IU HR adopted Salesforce for all customer service requests—with available, cross-trained HR staff who can provide consistent answers every time.
