Customize Brand Header and Social Media Footer
When you create an email with one of the templates or layouts, you will be able to customize the header and footer of your emails. This empowers you to make changes without asking an administrator to make these changes for you.
The header contains your unit and department name and can be changed as you see fit. The footer of the email that contains your social media links is also customizable. You no longer have to use a brand code.

Required Footer Elements
There are some required components of the footer that are not user-editable. This includes the physical address of the sender, the message intention and email safety statement, as well as the one-click unsubscribe link.
Physical Address
The physical address is assigned at the unit level in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This will be set to your default campus address by Enterprise CRM administrators.
For example, the address for IU Bloomington units will read
Indiana University
107 S. Indiana Ave
Bloomington, IN 47405
If you need to use a different physical address for a send, contact the Enterprise CRM team by emailing crmhelp@iu.edu.
Message Intention and Email Safety Statement
The message intention and email safety statement reads
This message is intended for [recipient].
Learn why we're including this: go.iu.edu/emailsafety
This statement is included to build confidence in emails from Indiana University and to help recipients identify spam or phishing attempts.
One-Click Unsubscribe Link
The One-Click Unsubscribe link is included on emails that use a Commercial email template. It reads
Unsubscribe [recipient] from emails like this.
If a recipient clicks the one-click unsubscribe link, they will be unsubscribed from the publication list used for the send. If no publication list was used, they will be unsubscribed from the entire business unit.
View Online Link
The View Online link enables recipients to view their emails as a webpage. This is included to provide enhanced accessibility.
