Modern Campus Message Reporting and Analytics
All standard Salesforce reporting capabilities are available for use with Modern Campus Message sends (text messages).
To create reports on text messages sent with Modern Campus Message, use the ‘Contacts with Modern Campus Sends (Messages)’ or ‘Modern Campus Sends (Messages)’ report type.
Creating a basic Modern Campus Message report
- After logging into the Enterprise CRM, open ‘Reports’
- Click ‘New Report’
- Under Category, switch to the ‘All’ category
- Search for the report type ‘Contacts with Modern Campus Sends (Messages)’
- Select the report type and click ‘Start Report’
- Switch to the ‘Filters’ tab
- Change the Show Me filter to ‘All Contacts’
- Change the Birthdate filter to ‘Created Date’ and the Range to ‘All Time’
By default, only messages sent from Programs you have access to will be shown.
Report on messages in a specific program
- On the ‘Filters’ tab, add a filter for ‘Signal Vine Program: Signal Vine Program Name’
- For the Operator use ‘equals’
- In the text box, enter your Queue Name / Program Name (e.g. UA-VPIT-IUCRM)
- Click Apply
Filter reports for inbound or outbound messages
- On the ‘Filters’ tab, add a filter for ‘Type’
- To view outbound messages (messages you or your colleagues have sent), set the operator to ‘equals’ and for Value select ‘Sent’
- To view inbound messages (messages your constituents have sent to you), set the operator to ‘equals’ and for Value select ‘Received’
- Click Apply
Filter reports for messages sent/received on a specific date
- On the ‘Filters’ tab, add a filter for ‘Time’
- Set the operator to ‘equals’ and use the Date Picker to select a specific date. It is recommended to leave the Time Picker field blank to ensure you see all messages.
- Click Apply
Filter reports for messages sent/received during a specific time period
- On the ‘Filters’ tab, add a filter for ‘Time’
- Select a greater than or less than operator and use the Date Picker to select a specific date and time.
- Alternatively, click ‘Use Relative Date’ and enter a relative date value, such as ‘LAST 7 DAYS’
- Click Apply
Filter reports for a specific message send
- On the ‘Filters’ tab, add a filter for ‘Message’
- Set the operator to ‘equals’ or ‘contains’
- In the text box, enter the text of the message that was sent
- Click Apply
